Our Faith Statements
The Second Coming
We believe in the resurrection of saints unto eternal bliss and the wicked unto eternal damnation.
The Rapture
The resurrection of those fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, is the imminent and blessed hope of the church. I Thess. 4:16-17; I Cor. 15:51-52; Rom. 8:23; Titus 2:13.
The Revelation
The return of the Lord with the raptured saints to set up his millennial reign on earth, is the promise of the word of God and the world’s only hope. I Thess. 1:7; Rev. 19:11-14; 10:1-7; Rom. 11:26-27.
Heaven
We believe that heaven is a place prepared for all those who believe in the Lord Jesus, and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Their reward is everlasting life and joy in the presence of the Lord. Rev. 7:14-17; 21:4; 22:5; John 12:2.
Hell
We believe that hell is a place for those who have rejected the mercy of the crucified saviour. They shall be cast into outer darkness, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Their punishment is eternal grief, regret and torment from which there is no escape. Matt. 13:41-42; 25:41; 2 Pet: 2:4; Rev. 20:10-15; Luke 16:23; 2 Thess. 1:19.
There is One God
We believe that there is one true living God; that in the unity of the Godhead, there are three, equal in attributes, but executing distinct harmonious offices.
a) God, the Father, the creator of heaven and earth and all that is therein, sent his only son to come and reconcile the world to himself.
b) Jesus Christ, the only begotten son, born of the virgin Mary, conceived of the Holy Spirit, became flesh and dwelt among us, the only mediator between God and man.
c) Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, omnipresent, omnipotent, fulfilling on earth the office of reproving of sin, instilling of righteousness and passing of judgement; the comforter, leader and guide to all who yield themselves to him. Matt. 28:19; 1:23; Gen. 1:1; I Tim. 2:5; John 1:14, 18; 15:26; 2 Cor. 13:14; John 16:7, 14; Isa. 43:10.
The Fall of Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but by voluntary transgression, fell from Edenic holiness and purity. His only hope of redemption is through Jesus Christ, the son of God. Gen. 1:26-31; Rom. 5:12, 21, 3:5, 16, 19.
The Plan of Redemption
We believe that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us; that his death was by divine appointment of the Father as atonement for sin; that all who call upon him, may be justified by faith through his precious blood; that salvation is through grace and not by our own merits. I Pet 1:18-20; Titus 2:14; John 1:29, 6:47; Eph. 2:8-9; John 6:37; Rom. 6:23, 3:23, 5:1-2.
Water Baptism
We believe that water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit is a command of our Lord. It is an outward sign of an inward work; and just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we should walk in the newness of life. Matt. 28:19-20; Rom. 6:4; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:41.
The Lord's Supper (The Communion)
We believe the Lord’s Supper is a memorial of his suffering and death. The broken bread used in its commemoration is symbolic of bread which came down from heaven, even Jesus Christ, whose body was broken for us. The wine reminds us of the shed blood of the saviour, the Lamb of God. The ordinance is enjoined upon every believer. Mark 14:22-24; I Cor. 2:23-30.
The Baptism of The Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. It is a definite experience after the new birth and he may be expected in the same manner as he came upon the Jews and Gentiles in the apostolic days. Matt. 3:11; John 14:17, 18; Acts 1:4, 8; 17:6; 2:4; 8:17; 10:44-46; I Cor. 3:16.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, the infallible rule of faith and conduct; that was written by holy men of old as the Holy Spirit moved them. 2 Tim. 2:15, I Pet. 2:2, 2 Pet. 1:19, 21, 2 Tim. 3:16-17.
